Sea Sponge

from $7.00
Sold Out

These sea sponges are sustainably harvested in the ocean. They are harvested by leaving the root of the sponge behind, so more can grow.

Sea sponges are an incredible alternative to plastic sponges and an option that can be used by many due to how the sea sponge roots can regrow after being harvested.

A sea sponge is soft and gentle, and also naturally inhibits the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria. When properly cared for, sea sponges can live their life without a hint of stink or sliminess that standard plastic sponges can get.

Sea sponges can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending on usage. The sponge will start to fall apart at the end of its life. When that happens, simply compost the sponge.

These sponges measure approximately 4.5” by 5” for the large, and approximately 3” by 3” for the small, but size can vary.

These can be used to wash dishes or can be used as a plastic-free sponge in the bath. Allow to dry out between uses for best results.

  • As a little girl, I was fascinated with nature.

If you could peek into my past, you'd find a barefoot girl more comfortable when muddy, making mud villages, building treehouses, digging forts in the field, and crushing up flower petals to make perfume. I desired to be a nurse, or a doctor, when I grew up. My heart was always to help, to see a need, and to attempt to meet it. Keep reading here.
